At Huntington, our curriculum is built on a clear and ambitious foundation: every child should be equipped with the essential skills and knowledge they need to thrive, while being inspired to love learning. Carefully mapped-out progression ensures that learning builds meaningfully over time, while exciting, creative opportunities spark curiosity and foster a positive attitude towards learning. Alongside academic growth, we place personal development at the heart of everything we do – encouraging kindness, resilience, and respect to help our children grow not only as learners, but as confident, compassionate individuals ready to take on the world.

Our curriculum is connected by our core values, creating a learning environment that is both engaging and meaningful. We deliver the subject content (e.g. history)  through a clearly linked theme (e.g. The Romans) that embeds the National Curriculum. By linking the curriculum together through our values, that are tailored to the children of Huntington, we are also able to capture the children’s curiosity, foster a love of learning and develop the essential skills and values that will serve them well in life.

Each half term the whole school focuses on a value which connects the learning, this helps us to encourage the children to make links across the school and within their learning, enables whole school experiences and continues to drive the sense of belonging.
