At Huntington Primary Academy we believe that a consistent school uniform policy is vital to promote the ethos of the school and provide a sense of belonging and identity for all pupils, regardless of their protected characteristics or socio-economic circumstances.
We aim to provide the most cost effective uniform for our families. We have made a commitment to:
- Assess the overall cost implications including the impact variations in uniform can have
- Avoid frequent changes
- Consider how costs affect different groups of pupils
- Engage with parents when reviewing our uniform
- Negating additional uniform for extra-curricular activities
- Engage with uniform suppliers to secure good value for money
Our school uniform is as follows:
A red sweatshirt or cardigan – school logo is optional
A white polo shirt
A grey skirt, trousers or shorts
A red gingham school dress (for warmer weather)
Black shoes, trainers or boots or with low heels, appropriate for the weather
Year 6 ~ wear the same uniform as other pupils however they will be issued with a tie (provided by the school) at the beginning of their final year at Huntington Primary Academy which will clearly identify them as our oldest and most experienced.
Children wear their PE kit to school on the day they have PE lessons. Our PE kit is as follows:
A white t-shirt
Plimsolls or trainers for outdoor P.E.
Black jogging bottoms (for winter)
