At Huntington Primary Academy, we believe that education is about developing the whole child – not just what they know, but who they are becoming.

Personal development means helping every pupil grow in confidence, character and wellbeing so they are ready for life beyond the classroom.

Success will look different for each child, but we want all our pupils to succeed during their time at Huntington and to leave our school equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values that they need to succeed as individuals, as learners, and as citizens. We believe in supporting personal, physical, emotional and social development, alongside academic aspiration, and strive to promote this throughout the whole curriculum and the enriching extra opportunities we offer. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background or ability. The inclusive, equitable, and supportive environment we are committed to creating sees success for pupils as they leave Huntington to go on to the next step in their journey.

The HPA Experience

The HPA Experience is the framework detailing the diverse and rich learning opportunities provided to children throughout their time at Huntington.

It organises the many experiences children engage in, such as going on a coach trip, which are strategically aligned with different year groups. The use of color-coded sections indicates the specific year (or year range) during which children participate in these experiences.

Furthermore, the red Hexagons highlight additional, varied experiences available to the children. These activities may be accessed either as part of a whole-school event or on an individual basis, and some are offered as optional opportunities for broader engagement.
